Hey lovely entourage, friends, family,
As some of you may know (no big deal if not) I’m turning 35 in a few days, and with everything that has been going on, well my plans to celebrate big kind of became out of the question. To be honest I was feeling pressured because I though it was necessary that I do something special before entering the second half of the run towards 40, but I’m less and less into birthday as I get older…and more into enjoying this time I get to live on this planet regardless of how long and where society says I should stand by the age of 35! So while corona is hitting us hard this year and that we hopefully get out of this crisis with more wisdom and more care for ourselves and each other as human beings, lets not forget about the other really scary subjects that got somehow left over by the news and we tend to forget - while we are all concerned about our job situation, our health or our confortable lives being properly shaken, our forests keep burning, and with it our source of fresh air to breathe !!
We are now confronted to this annoying MASK situation, keeping us from infecting each other…but try imagining when we’re all gonna have to wear gas masks in order to keep breathing !!!
And this is just the tip of the iceberg…
There are so many other small crises hitting us slowly but surely, even if it’s not in our cities or our countries, corona clearly shows us we are all in the same BOAT !!
My point here is that even the smallest action can have a beneficial outcome…
I had a hard time choosing which cause I would choose - and I’ve decided to go for one I love the most (Garbicz community will probably understand me on that one) - I did a small class on permaculture a couple days ago and we can grow are tomatoes on our balconies, but a forest need at least 10 to 15 years in order to grow back.
If you were in any way sensible to this message and care to join me in this small money collecting action for my birthday that would be the best gift ever (for me and for the forests) - also a hug would be more than welcome as soon as we meet!
Thank you so much in advance
With love and gratefulness
Julie
